YMCA Camp Mohawk is a highly respected traditional all-girls overnight camp located in Litchfield, CT. Mohawk serves girls ages seven to fifteen. One and two week sessions are available. Over 700 girls participate each summer.
Mohawk’s “Girls Only” philosophy provides an opportunity for girls to enjoy the friendship of other girls and the leadership of positive female role models. Girls experience growth in an accepting atmosphere free from worry about how the opposite sex will perceive their looks, their actions or their ideas.
Mature, caring and fun staff guide the girls in both cabin life and in the forty-two activities that are offered.
Older girls enjoy our Senior program which includes adventure based day trips as well as sessions which include one week on Cape Cod.
Campers with equestrian experience can join our Equestrain Camp program and spend their time at Mohawk working with the horses. All campers can sign up for horseback riding lessons at a level that meets their ability, from beginner to advanced.
